I think your dad has the right idea.
They say there is no point in worrying over things you can't change or currently do anything about. I try to remember that when I worry.

I have to say I'm with your dad - we cross the bridge when we come to it. I do know that some cannot help but worry, and can respect that. You have taken the first step, which is all you can do for the moment. WIll be checking in to see how it goes...

Just remember everyones thinking of you, you're not alone. Keep your mind busy on other things till you hear what the doctor has to say, but don't give your self eye strain. If there is ever something about myself to worry about, that I can't do anything about anyway I pray and then I usually consentrate on someone or something else and I feel a lot better.

I worry about stuff
all the time and constantly send a mental smack across my face to try and break out of it so I know what you're going through but I'm sure it will be OK

So take the answer when it comes and don't try to speculate now. But the
next time, don't procrastinate.

I agree with your dad. The best thing is to wait and see what the specialist finds. I'm sure it will be treatable. I, too, worry about everything so I won't say, "Do not worry." But, try not to beat yourself up so badly!

Hi F.S Sorry to hear about your prob, best to see a specialist and get it off your mind I wold think. Once one starts worrying about an ailment it always seems to get worse. I used to have trouble with my eyes but I did lot of work under red lights and that was the cause.
I remember I had sort of a yellow mark inside my eye and I kept looking to see if others were the same, Got some queer looks in the end I asked the Doctor Fatty tissue he said absentmindedly.

.
Probably not serious and/or treatable without worry. In case of surgery they have lasers or most likely a prescription eye drops. I love you. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Of course what you have is treatable and stop beating yourself up for being human. The fact you waited to make an appointment makes good sense rather than poor judgement.
In the midst of seeing eye doctors, if it was me I'd go to my family doctor first, describe your problem and you may find it related more to what a GP knows than an opthamologist. It could very well be related to stress or even blood pressure.
Good luck with that and prayers thrown in my friend....

A Problem With My Eye
I can certainly understand your fear..your eyes are an very important part of your life and even when one is affected, it can cause problems. But don't get to overly distraught until after you have seen this new doctor who specializes in this type of thing. Let him so his tests, etc. I know that the not knowing is a killer, but just try to be patient.

don't worry until you know what you are worrying about. It could be as simple as eye strain or not enough sleep.
