Re: Re:
You know CC --- I am still pulling up dried/deadened Penta plants -

I believe the last time my yardmen planted, they dropped the ball as I was out of town and they were not watered for a few days. Sickens me. However,

~ Cotswolds, ah I want to see there. The Heart of England it is? EE

Re:
WEll I don't think you would throw any plant away E.E. I have this rather distinguished lady visit me O Mr B, O Doctor S We have known each other for nearly thirty years. She always wants any flower plants that I discard although she did give me a cutting of a fuchsia which she bought at Chelsea. So all my one year plants are waiting for transport into the Cotswolds.

Some of these pinks are really old varieties and haven't got the form of modern ones. Although I do not like the concept it is easy to pick out a plant check for virus and other virtues and the reproduce in thousands by cell culture. Whereas the poor old guys had to take three cuttings off a plant at one time and root them before sale, no wonder some were inclined to take as many cuttings as possible from every plant and not worry about the stamina or increasing the beauty.
