I'm sorry......

But I've been to dozens of such gatherings in 3 states.......and nothing could be further from the truth.   Sorry, I'm done now, there is no reasoning with the basis for your points....

Re: Uhhhh,
Corbin,
I reiterate, I mentioned "recent tea party-STYLE," examples of racism. You mentioned the movement. You are right that these have been around forever. I guarantee you that at tea-party gatherings, these examples of racism, get passed around between a certain small circle of participants. hey know each other, and snicker quietly, over this kinda crap. I don't believe that any large group of people, all think alike about ANYTHING.

Uhhhh,
considering the e-mails you are posting have been around long prior to the existence of the Tea Party Movement....I hardly see your point?

I imagine that a case could be made for the assertion that this is merely politically inspired, but I see not very subtle racism, embedded all throughout this. Can others, too?

THE ANT AND THE
GRASSHOPPER

This one is a little different....... Two Different Versions....
..............  Two Different Morals

OLD VERSION

The
ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building
his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The
grasshopper thinks the ant is a
fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away..

Come winter, the
ant is warm
and well fed.

The
grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be
responsible for yourself!

MODERN
VERSION

The
ant works hard
in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and
laying up supplies for the winter.

The
grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool
and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering
grasshopper calls a press
conference and demands to know why the
ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN,
and ABC show up to
provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a
video of the
ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor
grasshopper is allowed
to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog
appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody
cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being
Green...'

ACORN
stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house
where the news stations film the group singing,
“We
shall overcome..”
Then Rev. Jeremiah
Wright
has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's
 sake.

President Obama
condemns
the
ant and blames
President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the
Pope
for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid
exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten
rich off the back of
the grasshopper, and both
call for an immediate tax hike on the
ant to make
him pay his fair share.

Finally, the
EEOC drafts the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act
retroactive to the beginning of
the summer.

The
ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to
pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the
Government Green Czar and given
to the
grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the
grasshopper and his free-loading
friends finishing up the last bits of the
ant’s food while the government house he is
in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the
ant's old house,
crumbles around them because the
grasshopper doesn't
maintain it.

The
ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The
grasshopper is found
dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over
by a gang of
spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous
and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire
Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE
STORY:
Be careful how you vote in 2010.

I’ve
sent this to you because I believe that you are an
ant
not a
grasshopper!  Make sure that you pass
this on to other
ants. Don’t bother sending
it on to any
grasshoppers because they wouldn’t
understand it, anyway

Subject: USPS New 44 -Cent Stamp

This image is a larger version of the Eid Custom Postage product.

USPS New 4 4 -Cent Stamp Celebrates a Muslim holiday.

If there is only ONE thing you forward today... let it be this!

President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a new commemorative 44-Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly & vocally BOYCOTT this stamp, when you are purchasing your stamps at the post office.

All you have to say is " No thank you, I do not want that Muslim Stamp on my letters! "

To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of Pan Am Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the
World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in
Lebanon !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the M ilitary Barracks in
Saudi Arabia !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in
Africa !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on
9/11/2001 !

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Re: Re: Re: BTW.....
I doubt that this originated with the tea-party, but I point out to you that I referred to "recent tea party-style" racism.
I also doubt that the photograph will be anything but an empty box with a small red X in it. The photo shows a old style, exagerated movie chacterization of the cinematic "witch doctor" photo-shopped with Obama's face on the body, complete with a bone in the nose, and feathered headdress and spear.
I'll keep looking for other "blantant examples of 'wink, wink, nudge, nudge, racism,' but there may not be any left in my inbox. I usually just delete them, because they are repugnant to me.

Re: Re: BTW.....
(We have ALL seen blatant examples)

Show us an  example.....the only black attacked at a tea party gathering was a conservative one beaten by union thugs.......There is a $100,000 bountry offered to anyone who can show examples of racism at tea party rallies.....here's your chance to make some big bucks.....

Re: BTW.....
Corbin,
I don't think that my having said that "MOST of the hatred and invective" directed at Obama, is "thinly veiled racism," is insulting to anyone but racists, and is only so, because it pulls away the veil.
Obviously, racism cuts both ways, but the recent "wink, wink, nudge, nudge," tea party-style racism (We have ALL seen blatant examples) can only originate from those whose power is arrogantly taken for granted. I deplored Redd Fox's self-admitted hatred of the white race, but that  "blind spot" racism of his, didn't make him any less talented and funny.

I's sorry...but i find it a bit insulting to claim opposing this regime is racism......without a doubt this man has done more to damage race relations in this country than anyone in the past 5 decades or so.  Sadly he had such an opportunity to bring us together but he chose a different path.

When this man was elected, America had been lulled in to believing that we were entering a guilded age of harmony and togetherness.....it has proved to be quite the opposite with race cards being used to vilify anyone that might be expressing an opposing viewpoint toward the regime's agenda of leading this country leftward.....
