Sorry to annoy, but when you post in a public place, the door
is wide open for reactions of every perspective, unless ya censor and close it. As for comments, as members, we're all in agreement with Shaycom's rules, the actual "police" - but you know that and just choose to ignore. Whatever, your post, blog as you say but a helpful pointer before I'm outta here - there's a typo in the title..:) bye..

Bush State Department, Now Obama's....Shouldn't it read this way,
according to the report and to the article you link?:
“I don’t know why,” Bruce Riedel, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and former CIA officer, told TheDC. “Bush should have done so back in 2001.”
So is the decision not to include the Taliban purely a political one? Some suggest it’s possible, that the U.S. government, going back to the early days of the Bush administration, does not want to ruin its chances for some type of rapprochement with the more moderate parts of the Taliban. “There may be some today who do hope for a political process with the Taliban,” said Riedel. “But that does not explain why we didn’t put them on the list in 2001-2008 during the Bush years.”
I mean, the Taliban first became an enemy in 2001, under Bush's watch..Before that, they were courted for their cooperation in building a natural gas line through Afghanistan, by both Dem.'s and Repub.'s; their brutal and tyrannical domination conveniently overlooked..History does matter when searching for truth.
I think Obama is incredibly wrong headed and elitist in continuing his predecessor's policies - our tax monies have paid for bribery of the bad guys in Iraq and now they do so in Afghanistan..why? I believe to secure the kind of "victory" that is conducive to big business, oil and gas contracts, etc. Following the money trails is important too..
My perspective, I know you probably don't agree, but oh well..:)

it looks like the active part of rewriting history is in full swing
check out writeroflight, he has an interesting post on our new education system, and than you have sunnybeach now claiming that jewish terrorism accounts to 7% and islam terrorism is only 6% and the list goes on.
this reminds me george orwells book 1984, he says that 2 plus 2 is three and so it is.
