Yes i have had that feeling. what you put on your computer is a reflection of yourself, seeing that reflection can also be scary.

when my computer crashed and Iwas home Ifelt like something died, I remember that feeling
but when I was out of the country and my computer crashed the first day I got there, I felt bad for a few minutes and than I forgot about it.
