Reminded me of a milestone for a bit there CC. I am sure there is a story to it as well. Thanks so much for the condolence CC.

Re: Sam
Yes under a weeping Ash tree Sam, my mother planted it and the council slapped a preservation order on it, if I had the energy I would clean the ground off and have a shady nook, It is next to a sub-road, but not much traffic.

iT IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO MUCH LIKE MY ROCK. IMUST POST A PICTURE
of where mine rests. It seems that I am not the only rock freak...but they are so natural and go with the gardens so well, rest one anywhere and just watch the birds small animals and fairy folk arrive. Wiley caught me a garter snake to play with this morning.....I adore benign snakes.

Now Kabu this what I call a shaped stone I have two of these my brother and I moved them ten years ago only because the builders would have taken them. They are double the size of the normal ones. They used to stand at the bottom of a smallholding with a sink cut from stone on each one. For years I left the old chap 5 gallons of paraffin in one of them why in that place I do not know. I suppose it was no problem in those days. Anyway the old chap passed on and a friend of mine was clearing up and asked if I wanted them. Of course we were mad as hatters in those days and fetched them with an old Fergie and trailer. I don't think they will be moved much, I suppose they are just sentimental objects. One or two more posted as well. The normal size next photo today.
