I do hope Wiley gets to feeling better soon. I understand about being tired, and I hope it's only the heat that's zapping his energy.

Maybe it's the change in medication and enduring this terrible heatwave - both at the same time. I haven't been in for a couple of days, so am just now aware that he was feeling so tired. Happy to see he's better now. He DOES have an excellent and loving nurse....

Hello Kabu
Your worry is justified. Rest will do a whale of good to Sir Wiley, and he is one person who knows how to bounce back. Hoping it is only tiredness and nothing else. Seeing the abundance of nature and communing with the birds too, will be a fine therapy. All the very best of wishes.

Lo Kabu, well he sounds better, just take it easy, try not to worry, just try not do do the silly things that I do, I visited one of my brothers Thursday, he ask if I could dig 3 strawberry plants up for him. I said get a proper fork he as had a heart Op. He came back with a man size I dug up the 3 old large plants. 'Good he said.' "how many have to come up'
I ask 'The row,' he replies, about 30 'but I'll get a man to do it.' So what did tough guy do? Dug them up amid protests as he is younger than me. But I could show him. You see we never learn.

You should probably try and curb Wiley's persistent urge to build and fix things...And I do hope you two are not too badly affected by this heat. I always feel a little guilty when others suffer from it, because I actually
love it...

Didn't realize (of course how would I - I haven't been here) that Wiley has opted to take a break. Lazy days on on the porch with the one you love sounds like a wonderful way to pass the time and watch the critters in your yard.

Kabu, how true your sentiments reflect my own situation. Since my stroke I'm very restricted when and what time of day I take my short block walk. And each time, I almost see myself at about 8 years of age, running and skipping along the sidewalk, stopping now and then to give the old guy with the cane a little time to catch up. At times, in my little fantasy of "yesteryear", he always encourages me with a wave and I think I can hear his voice: "Come on. You can do it, just a few more steps. You can do it!" And so I continue slowly onward aided by a childhood memory.
Thank you, Kabu, for a wonderful post. joab

Hi, What a nice picture, you two sitting in that porch and the little critter watching you and wondering what's up loll I am sorry Wiley is under the weather, I hope he rests himself into wellness ... the darling man. I miss him terribly :-) his naughty jokes always send me to bed laughing and I love his pictures from long ago... his anectotes... his stories and rightfully indignant letters ...What can I say... I love the guy! as I do you Kabu... Please take care of him and you too...we women tend to forget about ourselves :-) Be well xoxoxo

You too have fun, these days of worry come, but let them pass.
Remembered this poem,
"There's no point in worrying,
it never was worthwhile.
So pack up your troubles
in your old kit bag
and smile and smile and smile"

Don't rush him. Just let him do as he sees fit about Blogit. Keep us informed about him and give him our messages of love. Loved the imagery of you two being part of a zoo for the animals and birds. LOL
