When stories get passed around they tend to get changed, some big and some small. An example would be a great uncle's death. Grandma was there when he died at the house after a swing sixty-three years ago (he was a blue baby). Mom believes to this day that he died at the pool.
You are so right about the importance of how we live our lives. Often we tend to get caught up with who we are related to and who we know that we do not evaluate ourselves and others properly.
