I am concerned too, MandaLee. The situation will NEVER be hopeless, so long as we remain true to God, who is the ruler of all. So well said!

It's good that you, as a younger person, is concerned about the future of our country. But, like you, I remain optimistic.

The majority of our elected officials are and have been Christian
That has not prevented members of either party from conducting our business in a self serving manner. Any religion of itself does not a good, honest person or public servant make - corruption and perversion rule until the masses wake up and work to eliminate the motivation for it - campaign finance reform that is deep and goal changing along with lobbying regulations. And theocracy does not bode well for democracy. So I disagree mostly, but agree there is still a hairs breadth of hope.

Freedom
My pastor said a Jew cannot know God; the Scriptures make that clear. You can't be a Christian and not believe Jesus is your redeemer. I don't think so.
Can a politician say a multimillionaire has more property than he deserves, take it and give it to the poor because the Constitution implies it? I don't think so.
We are coming to a time when everything we think we know will be proven false. Welcome to the new age.
