Good Information!
The chemical makeup of HFCS is very different from sugar, or even regular corn syrup.  More importantly, our bodies' reaction to HFCS is very different, namely by a chemical process known as "glycation".  This is directly from a book I'm reading, OVER-THE-COUNTER NATURAL CURES, by Shane Ellison, M.S.

"...glycation is a process by which sugars like HFCS bind to amino acids in the bloodstream and become advanced glycation end (AGE) products.  This class of toxins has been linked to inflammation, insulin resistance, diabetes, vascular and kidney disease, and Alzheimer's disease."
