Cutbacks are always hard.
I hope the situation improves soon.

Major cutbacks
As sad as it is to see the employees you have come to depend on daily, be laid off, it is not a want to situation it is a have to for the overall good of the company. You will do well, don't second guess yourself. As will the other good employees that remain, because that is what they have always done, and that is why they are still there..I wish you luck/LB

I can't imagine you not doing a great job.
I feel so sorry for people everywhere whose jobs have been cut, or even hours cut. It is such a shock for most people who lose their jobs.

It's always unfortunate and very unpleasant to have to let good people go. But I'm sure you'll manage...

We've had to do this before in another business, and it is never easy, even when that particular person isn't cutting the mustard. It's hard no matter what, especially these days like you've said in another post...with things being tight everywhere. You can't help but worry about them; we'd be inhumane not to.

You are a very conscientious young man and I know you will make your father proud! It is just going to be one day at a time until it picks up to bring folks back on board! sam

Y It seems that everybody’s wearing red nowadays. For myself I hope that I can dress at home. What bothers me is that I will be changing at work. I do limited laundry. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Cutbacks
Yes FS it is hard to make these decisions, but the alterative would probably mean the end for the business and that would help no one in the long term. I suppose there is some sort of state benefit, this was sadly lacking in the past, so one must be thankful for that contribution. It is a bit more difficult when one has laughed and moaned and liked, but this is life and it might get better. Keep your chin up
