A loving tribute! I lost my father at a very young age but the memories linger & I miss his presence to this day, guess that's what parents are all about.

Kabu
We all probably have regrets Fathers were home protectors and advisers although one didn't take too much notice at the time. This seems sadly lacking in many aspects of of society.
As you say Kabu we thought then to be invincible but they were human.

My dad died 18 years ago. I still have at least one dream a year about him. I really miss him. I would say a big Happy Fathers' Day to him too, if he were here.

A beautiful post darlin'. Your dad lives in you, and he bequeathed to you his beautiful blue eyes, and his good sense. God Bless you for naming me with him on Father's Day. I love you

He sounds like a great man. At least he went quickly without a long ordeal and left you many happy memories.
