Well, all I need to do is think of your posts last year - and I know things are infinitely better for you, even with the occasional hesitations...

Thanks guys, you are all so kind... and it seems I am not the only one with reservations... my bloke has had trouble with 'little girls' before, and he wouldn't want a re-run either...! Good advice from you all... and if I know my daughter, and her good heart (underneath it all... snmile...), she will only want to be sure that I'm all right.  And I am.

No it isn't truly that scary to want to be with your friend all the time, it just means you are recovering from the hell of your divorce and the years before it came about and you are ready to move on to bigger and better things for you..good luck you deserve it/LB

Divorce does have costs, like the loss of the affection of children once you decide to live YOUR life the way you WANT to. I have 5 offspring and 4 step-offspring's -and it's like an earthquake ate 'em all up. LOL BUT I am with the woman I love, Kabu, so-;) I'll see my 'offspring's' in another life perhaps. Be with the guy you love, and leave the kids to God

I believe it is a good scary thing, though! I think it is time to tell your daughter, after all it is her late 20's and I hope that she would embrace your happiness! I agree, I came from a troubled marriage and we do learn to live with things we wouldn't consider outside of the marriage! I wish you all the best you are so very deserving! sam

I remember after my late wife died and I came over here, my step-son-in-law accused me of being 'distant' when I visited his family - this from a chap who sat on his mother's lap at the age of 34?.....Distant is what I wanted.
