Spider-mites? They can be a pain, and so difficult to see. There's an organic spray one can buy at Canadian tire and you need to do all the undersides of the leaves. I have the same problem with my apple trees.

I am not a gardening expert, therefore, I am afraid that I am not much help on this subject.

Honeysuckle
Kabu when you say eat the leaves do you mean bite bits out or the leaves look sickly if the later is the case it is probably aphids, I wouldn't put it past snails to climb up at night and take a bite if you have snails. But I am not going to argue with a man who has lived in the district for a long time.

Honeysuckle in this area draws hummingbirds, but they don't eat leaves.
Funny thing, dandelion greens make a good salad, but I've never seen one that was nibbled by bugs of any kind.

Kabu, I agree with you, honeysuckle is sweet smelling stuff!!
Kabu,
I planted some out by my pond years and years ago and now, at this time of year, it is marvelously fragrant. I don't notice anything eating the leaves, though.

There are about 180 species of honeysuckle, and probably about 180 different things that eat on them.
