Cape Breton? It's a fabulous place! I've been there often, the last time last summer. The weather was fantastic, and the whole island was gorgeous. You may recall my posts about that, found here, if you're interested http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Comments.aspx/625307
Around Cheticamp they even speak French, 'cause they're Acadians. I wonder what the differences would be between their French and yours...
And I'm sure your Mann is glad that you missed him...
