Kabu
What a fun story! So even chipmunks have their little wars - and here we're trying to achieve world peace...

Actually this little drama would make a fantastic
children's story... Can't you just see their fight as a cartoon cloud with tiny cartoon boots and fists and bits of stars popping out of it?  You're right, we're part of the animal world, the struggle for survival.

I wonder if Applemunk will leave Charlie alone now, or continue his
thievery whenever Charlie turns his back and leaves his home?....

Kabu - How very inspiring and I just loved your last few lines. We always think it is only our world and how wrong we can be. I like that apple munk? though - a survivor..LOL

I enjoyed your retelling of the events you saw. I could see everything perfectly in my mind with good ol' Charlie. I love reading your appreciation of nature.

Nature is so wonderful to watch--all of it, the fast-moving fauna and the slow-growing flora, and the seemingly never-moving geology.  I love being experiencing all of it..
