Hard to tell, huh, so much in the garden to bite and scratch and sting!!
Maybe you could make some sleeves and wear them from wrist to elbow in a sleeveless shirt.........garden green sleeves.

Glad you're feeling better; that one is a puzzle, have never heard of poison ivy that doesn't itch...there are so many things that could happen in that scenario...I wear tanks in the summer whenever I can get away with it, but gardening may be different, who knows?

If you were bitten by a spider, there'd be a red spot in the center,
possibly in the middle of a whiter circle as the poison radiates. If it's one of those brown recluse spiders, you need to see a doctor. Their venom literally mummifies great patches of skin. But you'd know it if that's what bit you -- it gets nasty and uncomfortable. If it's poison oak, then others have already listed the remedies. Hope it's gone quickly.

before I got to the end of your post, Kabu, I was thinking "spider bite." They can be far-reaching, but usually benign. Just in case, if it gets worse, you should have it looked at....Mal

Bitten by a spider sounds even worse than poison ivy. Happily, here in the UK we don't get any poison plants (as far as I know!) nor any poison spiders and only one poison snake, which thank goodness, is rarely seen.

Poor baby!!! It could still be Poison Ivy even if it not yet itches Kabu... it usually takes from 12 to 72 hours to fully emerge in the skin and little bubles or blister like thingies come out on the initial red splotches... Calamine is good, cold compresess also and hydrocortisome cream is great for the itch... I would use all three when it touched me when I was a kid up in Montana... but I seemed to get less sensitive to it as I grew older... Spider bites usually hurt or itch right away... The good news is its not contagious like some think... so Wiley is safe :-) and it does not spread either... if it comes out in other places is just delayed reaction. Avoid hot showers and try to stay in cool airconditioning... Good luck!

Is there poison oak or Ivy in the area that you were weeding? I so then I will have to along with Wiley's diagnosis, we used Calomine Lotion on it. Hope you feel better/LB

Spider bites are quite stinging too I think. Hope it is nothing but I think it would be best to garden with the gloves on like Wiley said. You just never know what lurks amongst the weeds. Take care Kabu and thank you darling for the visit.
