Hey!  Great to hear from you again, young lass.  Lots of folders won't open because of the fact that they were started with XP and they won't recognize Windows 7.  I suppose my folders needed a decent clean out anyway.

TAPS
Thank you for your concern, Taps.  Am I all right?   Physically I seem to be getting over the migraine, but mentally I sometimes wonder - I seem to be troubled so much about things that I don't accomplish anything, and have no notion to do so.  I'll get over it - whatever 'it' is.

Nice reading, johnmacnab..   but your closing comment has me wondering... I've tended to blog first, save later if I remember ... I shudder to think how long it would take me to download it all to my computer... (please don't let the computing 'bad fairy' get me now...)

Are you all right Johnmacnab?  You used to post more often.  Now I picture you and Ell running around having all kinds of fun that you never share with us.

It is surprising what events unfold during the drinking of tea, young sir.  We are enjoying it - immensely.

Straightforward
I had some coffee breaks and swearing breaks, Straightforward.  It wasn't non-stop posting, believe me.

TAPS
It has been unusually hot here, Taps, but what caused those fires was lightning strikes.

I don't really care what type of flowers are at my funeral, sam444.  My sense of smell will be even worse when I'm dead.

Isn't it awfully early in the season for so many forest fires.  I thought that was usually later in the summer.

It was a shame, Pat.  There has been quite a furore about it.  Apparently the police tried to tranquilize the moose but not only did they keep missing due to the bad visibility because of rainstorms, but the tranquilizers were having little effect.

The smoke of a distant fire...

I think that's a line from a pop song.

I saw a clip on NBC about a couple moose who had wandered into someone's back yard to escape the smoke, and the authorities tried to subdue them with tranquilizer darts, which seemed to have no effect, and eventually had to shoot one of them. It's a shame.
