I ponder a lot, but I wouldn't go back and do it all again for anything.
On a different note, I wasn't in the mood for eating oatmeal this moring, so I took my old fashioned oats and made me some oatmeal cookies.  I only put in 1/4 the amount of sugar (using dark brown sugar) and 1/4 the amount of butter and lots of cinnamon and ground ginger.  They are a bit crumbly but I sure am enjoying them.  It's a holiday weekend afterall.

Re: Mariposa
Thank you for the read. Yes it is difficult getting old, however, it is better than the alternative. Be blessed.

I've been thinking about aging lately. I work for 2 elderly people and one said how it was hard getting old, as she is slow now and can't do the things she used to. Some days I feel quite old, and other days still young, but I have been thinking about it. To have faith in God and inspire others is one of my goals. Thank you for sharing this.

I am so relating to this post! It IS frustrating to remember all that one could do in one day...working full time each day for eight hours, and then going home to cook, clean, entertain, soccer games, etc. I am pretty certain I could not handle all of that nowadays and do well. I think mine's more mental than physical...I just am so much more aware of my limits now. I can't do it all; and I no longer want to try...! Perhaps there is a beauty to this aging thing, after all....

What frustrates me is the fact that I know in my head what I want to get

done in a day, I just don't seem to have the oomphto get it all done some days.

You have no reason to appologise to anyone for anything dear one....it's the world that has sped up so fast...no one knows how to cope how to slow down a little

I'm reminded of a spunky, older woman I knew some time ago at church. She had a bumper sticker on her car that said, "Old age ain't for sissies!"

I had a customer today that had two back operations, and had a couple steel plates in her back and suffered from arthritis, and other ailments I cant remember, and she was only three years older than me and told me not to get old
