Kabu
Very interesting! An it reminds me that Australia actually has great reputation when it comes to the arts, far more than one would expect from people having to live upside down...

I enjoyed hearing your perspective on school back in the day. Some interesting times indeed mixed in with some boring subject matter.

Funny how similar people are no matter where they grew up.
My favorite thing at school was library, which at Mossyrock was at one end of the study hall. Not the biggest collection, but full of classics and a Shh! librarian from the old school. Being on the staff of the school paper, getting a small part in the senior play, all fun. All I learned in home econ was to boil water without burning it.

ever happened to you
Well you had a posh start Kabu, learning to talk like that, but what nice parents, it is nice to have memories that are warm and joyful.

It sounds like you had a great time at boarding school... I have also great memories of my time there... also getting in trouble , skipping classes that bored me to run to where the young paintors and artists hung out... by the Seine... I learned to love writing, also like you, by reading every book in our small but well stocked library... Yes those were good years :-) Thanks for reminding me of them :-)
