No No No Kabu
Sorry Kabu I will list disadvantages of having a cat. First they eat grass. Second They eat birds. Third they jump onto laps and run upstairs and hide. Fourth they expect you to tickle their tummies. I only adopt stray ones, the present one will not come indoors so all winter I have had to prop the porch open at night and build an untidy igloo for it out of a blanket and cushions, but you see dear, this is a nice cat it does not catch birds, birds just peck around it. I am now retreating slowly, any use offering you a rose?

Sounds like a furful amount of 'fun' and LOVE, yes...I have 2 kitties - but they're scared of my Simon. They keep a safe distance. But today even, my Clyde (the wanderer adopted cat) went in and out of my legs while I watered my gardens. He's a very tender kitty and just eats what dry food we put out - I say yes, be like a 'cat' in most things and when you want to laze around, drool and pass gass without caring - be like a 'dog'

~ ah, you're a good motivational speaker yourself Kabu -

Amen
Even if they take a back seat in a new situation, they soon come out and declare their royalty and demand obedience by all. I believe their mantra is "I rule and all others drool". You never have to train a cat like you do a dog but then again you can only get the affection of a cat at their whim and desire. Yes cat watching is an exercise in learning self sufficient behaviors and how to bolster your esteem in 10 easy lessons.

Kabu
I fully agree with you, but there's on thing a cat can't do - bark when the mail gets delivered...That's why I got myself a dogggie in
addition to the cat...

Cats are amazing creatures. If I ever get another pet I would be sure to make the pet a cat.

An absolutely wonderful psychotherapeutic post love, and pussycat is the perfect subject for the lesson.

Look at him staring across at me in my chair; "I want it" he says.

Cats are cool. They are good judges of character and they yell at you when they don't get their treat (tuna) on time

Are you hinting that cats might be just the slightest bit
manipulative?

I have two cats, one is about three the other is probably around nine years. The youngest one is a siamese and if you watch her you could turn into a drug addict as my daughter says she is on drugs.
