It's the general attitude of instant gratification. People have no patience any more, can't shrug things off any more and, I guess, feel powerful if they can let fly at some one they consider being there to 'serve' them. I admire that you bit your tongue. With my temper there would have been outright war on the premises.

I suppose people are busy and expect that since they are paying
money to use the car wash, then it "should" be a certain way, lol. Maybe it is Easter coming. Maybe costs for decking out little ones in fine clothing for Easter plus time constraints make people snap at you. Sorry that the world is not completely polite.

I often surmise that these people are angry individuals anyway, nails, soap, trash cans aside. Sorry you were the unfortunate one to have to cross their path.

Just before a holiday time,some people just seem to get so angry
and seem to have a need to make everyone around them miserable.....you seem to have run into those people all in one day. Poor you I feel for you and admire your restraint not to snap back at them.
