Re: CORNCRAKE, rashers, rashers...can't recall wht that is...
Rashers I am sure there must be Cockney slang for them, they are slices of bacon. I think they were rationed out at two rashers a person a week in the second world war.

Re:

Yes Alzeimers, once in the villages someone would begin to wander about, but at least they knew vaguely where they were until inevitably they were taken and folk would say poor old so and so and they were usually buried within three weeks. I know too much about this disease. E.E. I have seen girls walk past  looking quite ordinary and within a few minutes turn into a a blaze of emanation when the object of their attention appeared.  Perhaps this feat has passed into the blaze of television.

CC I always say that if you leave nature to itself, most often it produces the best - it's a rule of (my) green thumb.  and yes, I do love Green apples most; thanks for the tip here if I should taste a rather strong plum (I like the darker plums best) and the other apples I simply enjoy are the Pink Lady's ~ now you've got me hungry for a pear.  E.E.

and I must tell you that its often I read and re-read what you've written.  I want to be certain I am understanding it all - okay, so I will tell you that sometimes I don't understand what a writer means truly, however, the gist of this of a woman choosing the man -  and the pigs and poverty, the young man and the elder man  - and I am moved that it sounds like the woman of the mr has senility or alzheimers - and this really touches my  heart.  This was just an all around interesting and dear write to me.  E.E. ~

I loved ordained by fate! It sort of reminded me of my saga that is going on! You are so eloquently descriptive in your work, it grabs me and I am so entertained! I aver they feel so real! sam
