Well a little work and the yard can be set right and it's good that your dad didn't get hurt....

awwww your poor dad as well. I can imagine he was so frustrated ~ realizing it too late when he got stuck. I've been there. As far as the yard, your mother knows, with her keen intuition that it will all be fine again. Hmmm...maybe now she can plant another garden? I would consider that.

Good to see the funny side of life
It's always there isn't it, if we would only stop blocking it out?

I can only imagine the mess it made! Hopefully they just tore up the surface and the grass will come back after it is leveled out! What a mess! I think it is great she had a good sense of humor with it; after all the only thing left is to repair it! The old adage can apply here: 'No sense crying over spilled milk." If it can be fixed no sense getting uptight, your father was trying to save time and money but maybe not this time! We never know unless we try! I know I would have done the same as your father! sam

the good thing about an incident like this is that Mom doesn't have to shout to prove she was right--Dad is busy 'punishing-himself' . . . it's like coasting downhill on a bicycle. Even so, your Mom sounds like a good lady with style.

I hate to say it, but women are good at determining such things in
