- Go to Grandma's World is a sad and disappointing place, y'all.
I've been hearing all my life
that young people vote least and older people vote more

Hm Turn on, tune in, drop out.
Remember, it wasn't the kids who invented tyhast, it was a disaffected middle aged university professor named Timothy Leary.

we all get our wake up call sometime ...
the time will come, sometimes it's only a matter of being out in the world and getting some experience, then we start caring a bit more... just continue to lead with your passion!

hear, hear! Just the same over here. General election scheduled for May 6th, but nobody wants to vote because they're so disillusioned with the politicians.

I wouldnt worry about the kids, they have amazing intelligence
and intellect, that will kick in when needed, just like our parents thought we couldnt handle it.
as for Obama, I HOPE that he will CHANGE soon, but that aint gonna happen. He lied about everything and he will continue to do so.

I think when people, young or old get energized and enthused
about certain campaigns, because they begin to believe change is possible - real, life changing for the better of us all - change, only to later see and feel that the status quo is unmoving and/or, well, unchangeable, apathy sets in - kind of like a collective depression. I just wish Obama could or would (at this point, I'm confused on the difference - can't he or
won't he) progress a little bit faster on his promises. And I know he said the war in Afghanistan would be his focus, I guess I misunderstood somehow..didn't think that meant a surge in troops and civilian casualities, the latter being an issue I really feel bummed out about.

You sound so down in the dumps--not like benzinha at all. Being sickly for a long time will do that to a person. As the desert becomes beautiful with flowers and as you get physically stronger, your outlook on life will become more positive, I hope. It is not good for a person to worry too much about the future.

My dear, its a generational thing
but i agree..there is so much pessimism, because we grown ups have 'screwed up' so to speak!
