Re: At last, I have found the time to sit down quietly and read my fav. serial
Hi Kabu, I thought you were mad at me for a comment I made on your Wiley's blog.
I was so convinced ( guilty conscience,) Someone who is still a friend after twenty years sometimes reminds me that I was very rude to her, when we first met, she is a Doctor, but won't ever tell me what it was. I don't believe her. However the nitty gritty, I was sure I had annoyed you with a silly remark. So I wrote a little apology, I won't put it here as the phone is ringing, I'll put it on Wiley's site and he can scrub it if he thinks it unsuitable.

Re: Hi Sam
Of course Sam a lot of this is true, I had forgotten, things that my mother had told me,
Although she scarcely had an education, she was quite intelligent it always seemed sad to me that when the headmistress of the school asked if she would like to stay on and be trained to be a teacher, she had to reply. 'We have no money.

Re: E.L
the women used to wrap shawls around themselves and looked quite old.
Many men did not make it to pensionable age I remember three men talking when I was a lad one my father. 'Only another five years to go Jack and we shall get the pension.' None made it. I have poems on disks sometimes I think they are so crappy that I put them aside for renovation. I must admit that I do wake up and think Oh, no I've got to write that damn blog. One then wonders will anyone be interested in so and so. You seem to enjoy your writing so much thanks for comments.

Ewww no, killed the cat? and then hmmm...she was 'fifty' years old at least ---
fifty is old?
You know I think it great of Arthur to supply a 6 mos worth of Insurance...wow, that's generous.
but, again, I would give away the rover too (LOL, I did not have luck with ours I tell ya')

I am so enjoying your opening scenes into the next chapter. Very intriguing - very entertaining.
Truly Corncrake - this is so full of imagery and I just simply don't know how you keep up with yourself, writing this. Archie is getting busier - with intention of marrying and Dorothy, she must be on his mind - Proton and all. Write on ~

At last, I have found the time to sit down quietly and read my fav. serial
Goodness me, what an episode...so full of everything. I can see trouble heading Arthur's way in London. I just hope Proton is one of the party.Dorothy has one last trick up her.....never mind.
I loved the cat story and I love the way you just poppedit in...more of them please and I'd love more of the history like you told of poor old great Gramps.
Arthur's making a lot of promises and bettering the lives of everyone around him...I just hope it doesn't end upbeing a bubble but it does seem that there is a hige amount of money for him Nice to watch him share.
Oh by the way.......you'll never get that cooker clean if you are going to be namby pamby and use environmentally friendly crap products. Once or twice a year you have to get one of those wonder products and scrub.
good luck

Where's the limo!? lol This was so filled with such variety! I love how you can insert things, characters and it never interrupts the flow! The cat story was too precious! Well done on the language too! NOW, I testify as Albert is my witness, he writes poetry, (Did you know that, lol?) and I truly mess with imagery! I am fine and fit as a fiddle! sam
