Being here became another source of pain..
Answering your question, Justi; yes, I did leave for awhile and almost canceled. But the urge to write never left completely and mostly, I missed the good people of Blogit - such as yourself! - I realized the negativity of others projected onto myself was actually their own insecurity, jealousy, problem, etc. and that it didn't change what I
know about me, what I live, who I am and the truths I stand upon...now I can walk away from any ugliness, head held high and spirit clean and free...and happily post, read, interact, grow as a writer and activist for change. Not easy or without struggle, but very worthwhile.
How exciting about your group! I've wondered about trying to start something similar in my little corner - maybe someday..:) I am editing bunches of my poems for a list I have compiled of legitimate, literary magazines, sites, university foundations, which accept, support and publish poetry. I expect to send the first batch in early next week. Of course, it takes weeks to find out how they were received, lol. Slow going, but going nonetheless.

Good for you Justi. You write excellently and have lots to say so why not put it all in a book :-) I am sure there are many out there, like myself, that had not heard things like the ones you brought to my attention. It would be quite the success I think. You could call it "Wake up!!" loll... I am not doing anything other than dabbling here... life is busy with kids and grandkids and my husband is not feeling well so my plate is quite full :-( but its a happy life and I am not complaining except to say that I would love to be able to throw it all to the wind and write. No can do though so... the Lord will tell when the time is right. I just wish He would hurry cuz I ain't getting any younger loll Good luck with your new venture and xoxoxo
