Re:
Fairy Liquid is a popular brand of washing up detergent. The three maids lived in a cottage and are still there in my mind. A lot of sayings are old country ones. They probably come into the thought-stream when triggered by the situation. Thank you for your interest.

Re: Groan...fata lwords....are you bringing Iris into the village
Yes Kabu, but Dorothy is so fascinating, she doesn't expect a lot only loyalty, it's not much to ask. please try to like her a little.

I never heard of this "Fairy Liquid" ~
I so enjoy your writing --- it's remarkably entertaining, fresh and interesting --- it's so good to read.
This paragraph especially just popped out to me:
‘It’s nice to see a bit of naked fire, I love these old grates, I am forced to remember three little old maids who lived in a village, their little grate shone like a mirror and the hearth was as white as snow, coated each morning by a new burst of energy and a white hearthstone, as was the front step and woe betide anyone who put a muddy footstep on that slab of stone. I’m not poetical, but I did write a little poem about them.
It read like 'prose' ~ very good!!!~ and statements like: "bless her cotton socks" --- just good writing here.
and I like the way you end your chapters. I am raring for the next one. Elyse

Groan...fata lwords....are you bringing Iris into the village
I am beginning to think that you are the must have village idiot. And I can't and won't believe that you are serious about .....THAT WOMAN.....Dorothy or whoever.....that betrothal is a joke.
Ah well the thickening plot...I mean the plot thickens.
