Thanks Naut:) ... Iam coming out of the daze, so to speak, but my confidence took a huge knock last year, acadamically, and I think as much as anything it's me being apprehensive about the reception of any work I now do.  

I think what I am writing now is good, but what I must do is to be systematic... literally now, playing the numbers game: section I.i.a, I.i. b, etc...   I find my enthusiasm wanes, far too often, when I never seem to finish I.i.a to my satisfaction, or find that the gem I just completed belongs in another chapter altogether...! ... that ever happen to you?

Again, I second Azur! Actually, I have found myself in similar moods, not willing to do any serious academic work at all.

For what it's worth, one method I sometimes used to overcome that is going back and reading something I had written that I knew I was satisfied with, and possibly even liked - that sometimes 'primed my pump,' as it were...
