Basic yoga is OK and so it meditation, no matterhow you define it. It has to be meaningful to you - that's what counts most.

Elyse, maybe a group of you could do it together?
I realise that if there is a group (like going to a gym) thre is more motivation.

I find Yoga is helful for so many aspects of daily living, healthy mind and
body. I do Yogu but only very basic with meditation or as I say my quiet time.I could never reach a levelof selfpurificaation that you understand and have experienced.Very interesting and thought provoking post.

My daughter suggested I take up Yoga ~ I tried years ago - and the discipline required is not there yet for me. But, I think it is good for the mind, the spirit, the whole body.
