Actually, you can hear a lot of Hebronics here in Toronto as well - not surprising, since Toronto is sometimes called 'Canda's New York', lol. Even many non-Jews, including myself, use the satirical/dismissive 'shm-' thing, and chutzpah is used almost universally...

My friends in Sydney used to do this just to immitate their mothers and
Aunts. I would be in stitches.
