I've never seen so many bikes in a photo. It would probably take me months to see that total on the road!

I'm looking forward to hearing about the climate summit in the news, and seeing more of your lovely city.

Re: concerns about the environment.
In theory they are concerned about the environment, but theory and practice are two different things..just see my blog tomorrow.

Re: I saw four kids -- 12 or 13-year-olds yesterday, on bikes
Cyclists can drive motorists and pedestrians round the bend. I do not understand why they are not required to pass a test before they are allowed to cycle in the traffic.

Having been to Holland on many occasions, I am quite aware of their 'cycling culture', but didn't realize that in Denmark too the bicycle is an everyday means of transportation.
As a cyclist myself, though just for the exercise and strictly in the summer, lol, I wish that our cities too would become more accommodating to the bicycle, but I'm afraid we have a long wait ahead of us...

I saw four kids -- 12 or 13-year-olds yesterday, on bikes
in rush hour traffic. They darted across 5 traffic lanes, pushing their luck at the light changes, like little bandits running from something. Not a backpack among 'em, I was scared for them, and there was a cop across one of the intersections, but he was in the middle of a traffic stop. I hope they made it okay, because if someone was texting at the wheel...

Betty, the oprah take on Denmark being one of the happiest in the world finally aired here and I watched it. They are very concerned about the environment and hence the pedal power I think - wonderful. You should see us over here, every tom, dick and harry thinks owning a car is the ultimate..lol.

Have a lovely day.
