During these times of swine flu, elbow bump greetings should be in order.

Lol Naut.. I've had a close call like that when trying to carry too many coffees and open a door at the same time; fortunately no one has ever elbow-greeted me when I'm carrying coffee.  Sometimes people even open the door for you!

Hi Naut,
I am not worried about getting the Swine Flu.  I think the news media is blowing the severity out of proportion.

great idea
I actually did that with my  mechanic this week when I came to shake his hand and his hands were .....dirty, black, oily etc. :)

I've seen people use the fist bump instead of the handshake.
Howie Mandell of "Deal or No Deal" is a germophobe, and doesn't like people to shake his hand or hug him. I don't like being hugged by big soft garlicky grandpas.

I dislike that elbow bump... I like better a "touchy " one...You know... derrier to derrier  loll... at least is more... shall I say rythmic?   loll

Quite a painful way to try to avoid the spreading of germs.

What about a "Liverpool Kiss"?
Now that's a greeting.

Naut, well, there's always more than one way to say "Hello"...
I jut hope the one who got the scalding hot coffee on herself doesn't turn around and sue her friend now....

Oh Naut, I'm starting to be so tired of hearing stuff about that disease that finally is NOT all that bad. I think you're right;the coffee in this circumstance would have been more dangerous! And thanks for visiting!

I always extend a left hand and then wash my hands LOL I think the
elbow bump (without coffee) sounds even more promising

LOL, I can see that mishap Naut (great imagery --- waiting for Haiku moment from you) --- btw, my son and his fam, my Granddaughter lives in Portland, Maine  (near Freeport) and she just experienced what they believe is that piggy virus.  However, she's fine - yet its making its rounds.  Stay swinging with the elbows - and even wearing your Micheal J mask --- or would that be glove...either or - keep healthy ~  Elyse
