Hilarious! I was laughing so hard when I read the thing on poaching an egg, Bubbles my cat looked at me as though I was nuts, which may well be the case anyway, lol.

And I'm certainly gonna try that method with 'cling film' - we just call that stuff 'plastic wrap'...

I've also found a perfect way to make an omelet that is similar.  Take a small ziplock baggy and break an egg or two into it.  Carefully break the yolks and stir it around by squeezing on the bag.  Add whatever ingredients you like in your omelet, onions, tomato, green pepper, ham, cheese, salt, pepper....   Zip it up and place it in a pot of boiling water.  Just about three minutes should cook it right, or you can cook it longer if you like.  Dry off the outside of the baggy and slide the omelet out onto your plate.  It's perfect.
