Sam444 put it most succinctly mneme; the difference in you is all positive. As for the flat feelings - yes we all get like that. Those sinking feelings can last for a long time as well, but you seem to be doing very well mneme. Keep it up young lass.

Wise words, Azur.. not exactly closed off to things, but there's something to be said for putting all your eggs in one basket... I like him. I don't like that he seems concerned I might become dependent on him. And here's me thinking we were 'seeing each other.' Sounds like a relationship to me, even if we aren't committed so far. I just would like a bit more than 'be in touch.' It would be nice to have a little bit of take-it-for-granted continuity for a change. It's what I need, and want.

Interesting times
I like how you sound quite open to things. I think we constantly wrestle with our wish for connection, managing enjoying it with not wanting too much, As soon as we want too much it gets tricky
