Agreed, I would dread living that long! Just imagine having to keep up with technical know-how for the next 80 or so years!
THanks for the visit, have an enjoyable weekend.

I was astounded to find in Hata Yoga branch of Yoga, the spiritual, techniques that easily provides longevity to 150 years or more, bu I wonder what is the use of plain longevity sans quality. Researches should focus on repairing dreaded diseases instead.

Re.comments Grim Reaper.
Thanks for giving me your thoughts about this subject. I'm not ready for the grim reaper either; but if the price for avoiding him is grabbing more than my fair share of resources, he can come and get me.
All this is a fascinating challenge for scientists, but philosophers, economists, clergymen/women and lay people like the rest of us should think about the consequences.

Good thought(s) to ponder...as my dying mother in law put it to me: you never know when, where or why...you just take what the Lord gives you. and my own Mamma would say, "Thy will be done" --- I don't try to understand all what is offered for longevity...I don't take the time. I just live life to the fullest, each day I'm given life. (but that's just my own thoughts...) As I said, good blog and makes me ponder.

Not just the right country but have the right amount of money too.
I'm not ready to pop off yet but I don't want to be the only person who knows me still around. I've already lost too many family and friends.

Science seems to offer unlimited possibilities as it relates to living longer, but at the same token what is it going to do with overpopulation? Something has to be figured out on that front too.

Being gracious in this big cruel and cold world is so important. Admittedly, I'm guilty of taking so much for granted.

Yes, I saw that news item. And the next minute everyone is throwing up their hands in horror because we can't afford the pensions and the health care for our elderly. Makes no sense to me. What's wrong with dying when your number is up?

I often question our medical capacity to lengthen lives. Now really, isn’t 80 or 90 years enough time to get it right? Why doesn’t the research or medical field expend that same energy and effort in finding cures for various dread diseases?

Funny you should say that...I was thinking the very title yesterday
as I was contemplating that most people are never ready to die...they have too much they want to live for! Can't blame 'em there. I'm the same!
