All the information about any of us can be secured by anyone savvy enough to research it. However, I do agree with you that you could be hurt from it if there are things they could use. I am usually a trusting person until I have seen differently. I have a tremendous amount of faith in the blood of Jesus to protect me in most cases so I never think of it.

About me pages are generally superficial and require personal info that many do not wish the public to see. I have done a couple posts on me, as requested by readers in my first year on blogit.

Yes I am familiar with your bio page. I think it says a lot about you and your lovely poetry fills in the rest. I love your work.

Gottcha! We have been on here long enough to see some of those bios built on sand fall. There are those that just appear to be real regardless of the content.

After reading this post, Justi, I had to go back onto my own to see if I had written anything in 'about me'! Yep - I did, so I feel better now, LOL!. I like to read bio's too. It just adds that little extra, doesn't it? Good post topic!

Justi - I used to have one but now am not sure as yet what to put in but I have a short description in my blog itself of why I write. Some of my poems tell the person I am. But there's a photo there though!!

I am with you 100%.I too am very suspicious of folks that don't tell you who they are. To me they have a different agenda than friendly blogs and friendship.......luv ya....

I know you are a lovely person. Do all three children live with you? Maybe you will have a grandchild soon. You will love it to pieces.

I think you know me better than I know myself, but I am a single 65 year old women with 3 lovely children who like all kids have driven me nuts for more than 40 years. I dont yet have any grand kids and I will probably be too old to enjoy them if I ever get any. I lived a life of Harriet and Ozzie Nelson as a child, the perfect family. And I am struggling with the belief of God, did I leave anything out?

Me too Taps. I am not looking for a certain sort of person just some identity that defines them as a live writer. Thanks.

I had no intentions of wishing to make it mandatory, but I enjoy reading those I feel a someone is really behind the writing. I don't remember yours except I was most impressed at the number of languages you spoke.

I loved reading your bio. That is how I learned you had nine children. I was in awe of the gravity of that. Be blessed.

I know you do have a bio. I have enjoyed reading it a lot. It puts a face on you even without a photo. Be blessed.

I often go to the "About Me" pages and am disappointed when there is nothing there. I am always glad where there is much more on theirs than there is on my own.

Justi. Just who are you.
I like to read about the people whose blogs I read. However often you can work out what they are like just by reading their blogs. I do not think you can insist on people writing about themselves; if you did the contents would not necessarily be true.
Good topic though, thanks for bringing it up.
