'What happened to the nuke?'
Thank you for your comments and the supplementary link. I included this because last year's BBC report appears to be incorrect or at least debatable. Events like that crash in Greenland are bad enough in themselves; there's no need to embroider on the facts.

I can remember hearing about this a long time ago, then there was nothing more. So there is no bomb, they say now? Are they being truthful, do you think?

it is just too terrible, how we spend so much effort on perfecting destruction. with what right do the makers of these weapons wake up every morning, expecting a 'perfect' day on whatever part of the planet they are on? for how long do they think they can escape their own actions? before i get too romantic and take off on a right tirade, i should leave. this was very enlightenning, elinjo

Elinjo, Full disclosure on such matters as missing 'nukes', and other earth
shattering methods of mass eradication of the human race, are kept out of the hands of the public. Unfortunately, smaller "dot on the map" countries are targeted due to the geographical location. Read http://www.rmiembassyus.org/Nuclear%20Issues.htm
I wish it wasn't so.

The missing bomb theory has been a plot device for a number of
spy thrillers, and a serious item for conjecture among investigative journalists. If there was a missing nuke, it seems to me the bureaucrats and generals would have run a fine-toothed comb over the entire region until they found it, if only to keep the technology out of the hands of whoever was the enemy at the time. I agree with you and Shobana that such poisonous weapons should never have been invented. My fear is this is not the worst one, what with advances in genetics and bio toxins, etc... Peace!

Re: dot on the world map. Shobana.
Greenland and Denmark are dots on the world map too. However should nuclear war break out the citizens of these tiny dots would bear the brunt too. I too wish these weapons had never been invented. Malaysia must be a truly beautiful country. Unfortunately I've never visited it. Best wishes for a happy and peaceful day.

Elinjo - Classified info like this at some stage is distorted I suppose for the masses. What a shame that there was a need to invent nuclear weapons of warfare in the 1st place..all in the name of peace. And in obtaining peace there is war. My part of the world Elinjo is really a dot in the world map. For starters it is situated between Singapore and Thailand and there are still who have not heard of Malaysia!. They favour Thailand for obvious reasons associated with tourism and Singapore for the success that they are both politically and economically. Many incidences happen here but generally it is a haven for tourist, peaceful abode for us and we are still bickering over equal opportunities and for now I shall leave you with this. Have a nice day/nite yourself.
