Yes Raksha Bandhan is very special here. It'll keep me busy whole day as I visit my sisters all across Kolkata. God Bless!

How exciting for Josh; probably a little sad for his mom! I got lost in that first site! What an awesome link! It was so good to read what other faiths celebrate! In my country our holidays are one day, I love the idea of festivals! We use to have a Riverfront festival in Boise, but expenses got too high and it was disbanded! I think the festivals pull people together! Another excellent post! Shelly

Re: Taps:First day in Kindergarten
Yes it is very special. The prospect of great-grandchildren is beyond the horizon for me. Though actually one of my school friends was blessed with her first great-grandchild a couple of years' ago; so never say never.

Re: Every time I read your blogs I consider myself fortunate
Thank you Pat, that's one of the nicest things I've heard/read today. I too am very glad to live in Blogitville and to have you as my neighbor.

Definitely, the first day of kindergarten was very special, for me, for each of my sons, and for my grandchildren.  I only have one more grandchild to go through that experience.  After that, I'll have to get me some great-grandchildren somewhere.

Every time I read your blogs I consider myself fortunate
once again that you have 'moved to Blogitville.'  Today's entry sweetens the day.

Re: Snowview
Hallo Nita, thanks for visiting. Re. Josh: when Ina took him there this morning he said: 'I don't want to go!'. So I'm going to collect him as early as possible. Glad you can use the link. How are you feeling today?

Thanks very much Betty; this is most useful! You know I'm very interested in the histories of festivals! I use the card site often, it's quite good. How was Josh's first day in a new world! All the best. Nita.

Lustorlove kindergartens
I used the word kindergarten, but perhaps  I should call it a day-care center for the 3 - 6 year olds. The staff do however aim to provide a stimulating environment for the children, so they are ready to start school in the school's kindergarten class when they're six.
