As life moves along, it is busy or not, full of adventures some of which may be planned for, but cannot really be dealt with until they actually happen. We don't know how to grieve really, until we have to do it. We can't intellectualize or prepare for events, we can only make ourselves into people who can cope, who can find solutions, accept inevitibilities...
You are all part of it, for me... your kindness and caring make me stronger.
I know I can live through my husband being here in the house for three weeks straight.

Sorry you have so many family problems going on right at the moment. Hopefully things will right themselves for you soon and hubby will be up and around on his new knee.

It always happens at the same time! As a husband having a new knee isn't quite enough to cope with..... Hope all goes well in all directions.
