It is distressing news! I think more folks should get involved with bat houses! My boys had them in their youth! Shelly

good to see you too elinjo and thanks for coming by. i in fact had the nightmare of having three bats in my house when i was a little girl. worse, this was no dream, it was real. we had to get the conservators to get them out, two days later. the memory is still fresh in my mind, and unfortunately i am still terrified of them :(

guess the bats and bees have found better places to live. I have never seen a bat up close and I am sure I dont want to, they remind me of flying mice

I like bats, although didn't enjoy having one in my house that time.
There's that fear they'll get tangled in your hair... But they dine on mosquitoes, they have sonar, they're amazing.

Here is a bat titbit for you: a real sactuary for the creates is on the German island of Herrenchiemsee in the Chiemsee/Bavaria, more well known for King Ludwig´s stunning but unfinished castle. Thanks for following my Spanish adventure and no, I´m definitely not going on that ramble. In fact, I´m out of there to better pastures tomorrow.
