Though I'm afraid you need to amend that to "running out of steam late in each year of Obama's administration. Our beloved Tigers appear to be suffering from their annual post All-Star Game swoon, dropping two out of every three since the break. Fortunately for Tigers fans Minnesota and Chicago are doing little better. If the Twins could play as well against everyone else as they do against us, the White Sox, and the National League they would have an insurmountable lead right now. It's hard to believe we can be in such a tailspin and still in first place in the ALC.

Let's just replace most of Obama's cabinet, with Detroit Tigers! In a twinkling, we'll have universal health care, green energy, a cooler planet, vigorous economy, win the war on terrorism, and make friends and allies of Pakistan, Cuba, Afghanistan, Vensuela, North Korea, Iran, etc.
Being Detroit Tigers, I do worry that they will run out of steam, late in Obama's administration, though. Well, let's just cross that bridge, when we come to it.
