That's an interesting point I'd never considered before.  I look at word generators, prose or poetry, as being creativity tools that can lead to interesting ideas one might not have considered before.  Now that you've pointed it out I realize that it can work for the reader as well as the writer.

I think this is interesting.
I believe that part of a poem's 'message' only comes to life dependent on the reader. Therefore, in a mechanically generated poem, although there may be no spirit in the composition of it, in the reading of it spirit can be supplied by the reader and it can come to life after a fashion...

Something to think about.

Poetry generators, and various other word generators, are sort of fun to play with.  They can serve to stimulate creativity while also generating ideas to play with.
