I was thinking along the same lines. It is pleasant to carry on a discussion of political matters without it rapidly turning into a shouting match in which neither party is willing to listen. And, strangely enough, I also still think you're wrong.

LOL......It just came to mind when I saw your post.......
I have been so desperate to have people carry on actual discussions, instead of attacking the messengers. There's a couple around here that are just impossible to communicate with......

Thanks for the freebie concerning use of your name. I wish I'd thought of that 'cause I could sure use some extra money. However I think I'll continue to allow anyone free use of my moniker since its use does benefit me to a small degree.
I brought up John McCain as an analogy to the circumstances of Obama's service prior to his election as President of the United States. I do believe that the use of analogies in a common practice in debates and political discussions.
Wheeee! This has been fun. And it seems to have generated a few clicks for both of us. For that, too, I thank you.
