I see how communication on line can get rather complicated and an open forum for all who enter...guess that can be scary or exciting, or...

After a family member got a hold of my blog here and decided to
humiliate in front of everyone I am very careful about what I say anymore.

I think those who fail to take responsibility are totally deceiving themselves! A rant will get more pages views and I believe that was her motive! sam

Re: malcolm

I can't say I see it as Big Brother mainly because the profile is public. I think of Big Brother as intruding on the private life. Jennifer's MySpace can be viewed by anyone.

Something to be taken into account well is that the blog is telling a lie about why she lost her Sundays. People that have seen her profile probably think we are in the wrong. We already had that happen once.

Re: elinjo

I don't anyone can be 100% certain that people they know are not here. I believe I decrease those odds by remaining anonymous, posting fake names, not giving the towns the businesses are in, etc.

As for the example you provided in this instance we're in the position of the boss having found an employee's MySpace blog.

I don't use real names for reasons like that.

You do see life in the car wash. It alkways strikes me as being like the whole world in miniature, with similar struggles and problems and delights.

Agreed Ariala! This is one of the big dangers with blogging. There was a case last year in this country of somebody who had just got a new job. He never even started work, because his web-savvy employer just happened to find his blog...
Can you be sure that there are no Blogit members in your town?

A sensitive issue
indeed and could be easily interpreted as Big Brother rather than 'caring, older brother.'

Interesting how employers can check on employees like this. Be careful
too, as if the people you mention by name (first and last, especially) in this post Google themselves, they will be led to Blogit and read what you have to say.
