I can't say that I know much about Greenland. I'm not surprised at how climate change is affecting them.

Re:
Greenland seems to have more than its fair share of social problems and many of them are alchohol related. Sorry you got an unfavourable impression.

Interesting facts about Greenland, which I visited during a cruise through the North Atlantic from Hamburg to Toronto a few years ago. Ok, I didn't see much, but what I saw was bleak and what the immigration policemen with whom I had an interesting conversation told me, that alcoholism and crime (related of course) are a huge problem didn't improve the mood. And when I saw some men skinning a seal, I was close to throwing up.

Elinjo
It appears the climate change in Greenland is creating conditions that have existed there in the (distant) past...

I agree. The roundabouts are definitely (and frighteningly) getting the upper hand. Still in my thoughts and prayers.

It does seem there is loss where there is gain and this is a fine example! Keeping all in my prayers! Shelly

Re: I don't think we've seen much yet. If this summer's any indication,
According to one Danish site climate changes are going to mean higher insurance premiums because of more flood claims.

Interesting post
I had no idea Greenlanders were pursuing independence from Denmark.

I don't think we've seen much yet. If this summer's any indication,
it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Climate change is really causing havoc, and weather patterns have become so erratic! Thanks for the informative and interesting links, and all the best. Take care. Nita.
