Nautikos
I think you have acted with your conscience and been true to yourself. One cannot say fairer than that.

I agree with the comment below by Geri having seen the same sites.

As they say when new technology arises, you have to take the good with the bad. And unfortunately comfusers had made it way to easy for anyone to plagiarize others. I know it but all too well.

Dear Naut, my friend, I know this situation has distressed you,
and moreso because the one who is the focus of your original comment has been a friend also. It's hard to continue any relationship once trust has been broken.

Re: Nautikos, and all other who care ...
Not that I care all that much but ... it would be easier for Naut to answer the specific point Bhaskar, were the post still available for comment.  To prolong this is beginning to look like nit-picking.
Plagiarism is defined as the use of another's work without due citation (more or less).  That's the matter at hand here, and I am one hundred percent behind the principle.
I'd let it go Bhaskar... I've never known Naut to get uptight about anything and neither should you any more. My grandma always said 'least said, soonest mended.'

Prem is an Indian name. My name is Bhaskar, and I don't write for wordpress, Ezine, yes. nad just to let you know, almost the whole of May I was busy performing the last rires of my uncle who died on I May. 11th May was the last day of my observances. I wish you go to my blog before making any charges.

Use of others words
Using other writers ideas and words disturbs me. I have found several sites that have some of the same text that Bhaskar  used in his posts. I found that one of his comments was also partially cut and pasted from somewhere else. I can understand using his Ezine articles and posting them on different sites, including Blogit, but quite a bit of his text comes from sites like:

http://www.astrologycom.com/cosmic3.html and http://scienceandastrology.wordpress.com/

No one can't take credit for work if it isn't their own.

Nautikos, and all other who care ...

From my side the matter is over. One thorn, however,  will keep pricking me forever. I wanted specific answers to your mail on Dorian Gray to which I sought answers ... and ... unfortunately, never got. I am reproducing here in bold the context of your questionable mail:

Naut wrote to me on May 2: "Now, I had only briefly glanced at the blurb found there, but when I read your post it sounded awfully familiar.  I went back to Wikipedia and found that you had lifted complete sentences from their piece. Although you made a few changes here and there, on the whole I would call your post a piece of flagrant plagiarism".

On my part, which I owned up (in my last post, the why of it) ... "a sentence", and not complete sentences as you have accused me of, and which other "complete" sentences did you mean? In that case your contention that "on the whole, I would call your post a piece of flagrant plagiarism", holds no water. (Note, even that one sentence was exact with the same misspelling, then I am again lost on my having made changes here and there).

Let it be your prerogative in choosing not to answer, before you complain to Blogit authorities. Thank you for all that you have done.

Personally, Naut, I think you are being true to yourself in what you are doing.  I also think that you are doing it in as kind and considerate a way as possible as you follow the "temperature" of the other one's writings.   Most everyone at Blogit gets a little hot under the collar at times, even if they call themselves pacifists and believers.

Naut, I am so sorry this happened to you. I don't know all the details and do not need to. I thought Blogit writers had already sunk as low as they could go. This is requiring a new bar for low.
