I hope your ex does all right and makes a complete recovery -- soon.
We recently had a similar experience with my children's dad, and he finally got relocated to an independent living senior center, but it was a 4-month ordeal.

as far as I know my ex is ok health wise and he lives about 1300 miles from any of us and I have wondered how I would feel if anything happened to him. Like you I have only seen him in the last 25 years maybe a half dozen times and all but once it was just from the distance. He really never stayed in touch much after the divorce except when he allowed my daughter and husband to live in his house and when he moved out of state he sold it to my daughter, but I dont think either of my kids know anything much about him. Sorry you feel left out of your daughters anxiety over her dads health, and sorry he has to suffer.
