It's a great idea to assemble people of different religions on the same table. That's unity in diversity

Good stuff
somehow you need to get together and work on solving the world's messes and cleaning the cruddy stuff up. Before PC many of us were ok because we were nice people who respected each other and that was all there was to it.

A heart warming post indeed my friend
diversity takes the monotony out of life and teaches us many things we would not otherwise know about others and ourselves; many blessings and thanks

Your excellent blog reminded me of my student days in the early 60's at the University of Leeds, where 20% of the students were from other countries. Some of us took advantage of this wonderful opportunity, others kept themselves to themselves. We spent a lot of time talking politics and at times feelings ran very high, but we did not let it get in the way of our friendships.

Mal, back in grad school...
six of us guys rented an on-campus town-house together, an American Catholic, an American Jew, an Israeli Jew, a Turkish Christian, a Persian Muslim, and moi an Indian Hindu. Our common interests that bonded us were drive for excellence in school (everyone was a straight A), sports(you name it and we played them), and of course girls (from practically every major country) that'd want to get invited to our parties. Lotsa singing, dancing, fun, but never any religious or political discussions. Those who get too hung up on those topics don't know what they're missing in life. Thanks for stopping by my blog frequently :)! - Ash

In my experience, regardless of race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, socio-econmic status, political affiliation, etc., I've only met two kinds of people, those I like and those I don't. The truly interesting thing about it is as years go by, individuals in one group somehow wind up in the other.

What fun! I believe diversity to be so important! I raised my children that way and they had more friends of diverse religious and ethic background that of their like-mindedness so to speak! They were better for it! It can happen, and all the time! In fact, those of other backgrounds remain close to this day! Those of similar background have not! Just a thought on what eggs to put in the proverbial basket! sammy

If only one could bottle for those days when one is joyfully longing! [Love that oxymoron!]
