Texture, I soooo feel you here. It seems the more creating something gives us, the less inclined we are to "go there". For me, it's as if I'm afraid of...what? Diving completely into "being an artist" and thus getting nothing else done? The so-called important stuff of day-to-day.
Pshaw. I say live it, breathe it, any way that makes it real for you. :)

Painting is like writing
you have to be in the right mood to do them, however your shutters are a different story. lol

You will hit the canvas when the time is right! I believe painting the shutters was a time to nurture ideas made for canvas! I know what you mean about going to the store, I am that way with office supply stores! O, the life of a retired desk jockey!!! lol sam
